You’ve probably come to this section because you’re thinking, “I have the toughest parents in the world, and they aren’t going to get involved. They are too busy.” … or don’t care, or …pick any reason! But you are still searching for that magical solution!

Well we don’t have any magical answers but we do have some good suggestions. The bottom line is that creating partnerships with parents and getting them involved is not a one-time thing.  It won’t solve the fact that some parents are barely able to care for themselves, much less their child. But we do know that if you and your school realize that there are many ways for parents to be involved, not just by “body count”, then you can create realistic expectations for involvement that will make everyone happy.
