Pathways to Character is a school-based character education program created to help children develop the basic traits of good character while achieving academic success. Designed for grades Pre-K through 8, Pathways to Character helps students develop core ethical values through a meaningful and challenging academic curriculum.
The Traits
Pathways to Character focuses on nine character traits that are essential for children to learn to act responsibly and think critically.

Curriculum
This program was designed by teachers for teachers. And what would teachers recommend for teachers? Content area based lessons...Connection to higher learning standards with specific objectives...Easily integrated into academic subjects!
Each Pathways to Character Teacher Resource Guide includes:
- An introduction to each trait
- A family letter explaining what students will learn (also provided in Spanish)
- Four lessons promoting each trait
- A classroom bulletin board idea for each trait
- A family activity for each trait (also provided in Spanish)
Parent Involvement
This curriculum can be complemented by our parenting programs as an important parent involvement component, recognizing that when there's an involved parent at home, opportunity for success in the classroom improves.
